Dispatch
Dispatch lists jobs with their stops: Live: stops update as drivers arrive and deliver.
Create a job
- New job → reference, vehicle, driver.
- Stops: address, contact, deliver by. Find the delivery address: type a place, for example Kingdom Centre, Riyadh; OpenStreetMap's places are offered, best first.
- Create job → Dispatch. The job reaches the driver's app.
For a stop's customer to be told by e-mail and SMS, give its contact e-mail and phone (international, +966 5…) and turn Notify the customer on. See Customer notices.
A job from a list
Job from a list → paste the stops, names or addresses, one a line. The Lookup summary gives each line's verdict: found, pick one (a chain's many shops), only the area (a bare city) or not found. Edit the list to fix them. The first stop is the pickup.
While the job runs
- A stop is marked arrived when the truck reaches it.
- Each stop has an ETA. A stop that will miss its time is flagged late and raises a late delivery alert and e-mail naming the job, stop and vehicle.
- The driver delivers with proof of delivery; see Proof of delivery.
- The Tracking page link on a job opens its overview with no sign-in: every stop with its address, for the shipper or your own people.
Plan the route
A job → Plan route: Routing the truck uses the vehicle's truck profile (height and weight, for example 4.2 m / 38 t).
- Current order and Proposed order: less late, or less driving.
- Apply the new order. Planned again, the order is already the best.
- A plan made before the job changed is not applied.
Drivers on leave
Dispatch refuses a driver whose leave overlaps the job's days, from today (or the first stop's window) to the last stop's window, in the fleet's time zone. The refusal says when the leave runs: choose another driver, or cancel the leave in Payroll. The driver picker shows Away … – ….
If payroll cannot be asked, the job is dispatched and a warning logged: a payroll outage never stops the trucks.
Who
Dispatchers and fleet managers create and dispatch jobs. A read-only role cannot cancel a job.
