Video

A vehicle with a JT/T 808 video recorder (MDVR) fitted shows its cameras. Fit one as in Devices and trackers.

Watch a camera live

  1. A vehicle → Video → Live: Cab, Road, Cargo, Rear → Watch on one.
  2. The picture plays within a second or two, with LIVE and how many people are watching.
  3. Stop ends your view. Once nobody has watched for 20 seconds the recorder stops sending, so no data is spent on a camera nobody watches.
  • A vehicle with more than one recorder has a Recorder picker.
  • The same cameras are on Live map → Split or Wall for the selected vehicle.
  • A second viewer of the same camera shares the recorder's stream.
  • A recorder sending H.265 is shown as such: browsers do not play H.265 live. Set its live channels to H.264.

Recorded footage

  1. A vehicle → Video → Recordings → a camera (or all) and a window of up to a day (the last hour by default) → Find.
  2. The recorder answers with what it holds: each recording's camera, start, length, size, and whether it was recorded on an alarm.
  3. Play: the recorder plays it back from its own storage, marked RECORDED. Stop, or leave the page, to end it.

Footage stays on the recorder. Nothing is uploaded unless someone plays it. One person at a time plays back a camera's footage; live view of it carries on.

Alerts from the cameras

  1. Alert rules → New rule → kind Driver safety → tick the events: forward collision, lane departure, tailgating, unsafe lane change, drowsy, distracted, on the phone, smoking, seatbelt off. None ticked: all.
  2. Each event raises an alert naming it and the camera that saw it, for example Forward collision warning (road camera). The same warning within a minute is one alert.
  3. The alert → Footage → Play: the 20 seconds around the event, from that camera.

Who may watch

Owners, admins, fleet managers and dispatchers. Viewers and mechanics see no cameras: in-cab cameras show people. Every view is logged with who watched and for how long.
