Remote commands

A vehicle's page → Remote commands sends commands to its device and shows the device's answer. The history lists each command: issued, approved, waiting, sent, the device's answer. Each row names the device and who asked.

Commands

CommandWhat it does
Locatethe device reports its position now; low risk, no approval
Statusthe device reports its firmware, model or versions
Switch outputsets one of the device's outputs (a Meitrack tracker has five)
Immobilise the enginecuts the engine or the fuel circuit, soft or hard; needs a reason and a second person's approval
Releaserestores it; needs a second person's approval

Which commands a vehicle offers depends on its device: Teltonika, Queclink, JT/T 808, Meitrack and Ruptela devices take commands; Wialon IPS units show none. Ruptela supports position and input queries, output switching, and engine cut and restore over its data connection. Available actions depend on the device model and configuration.

Immobilise a vehicle

  1. Immobilise the engine → Mode, Delay (s), Speed (km/h), a reason → Ask for approval.
  2. A second person approves: in the console on the same page, or in the manager app under Overview → Waiting for approval → Approve or Deny. The person who asked cannot approve.
  3. Once approved, the cut waits its delay: 30 s by default, 0 to 600.
  4. Then it goes by its mode:
    • Soft (the default): sent only when the vehicle's latest position, no older than 2 minutes, shows it at or below the speed: 5 km/h by default, 0 to 50. While the vehicle is faster, or has no recent position, the cut waits and is looked at again.
    • Hard: sent as soon as the delay ends, whatever the speed, even while the vehicle moves.
  5. The command is done only when the device reports the output or circuit cut.

Release follows the same approval path. A denied command never reaches the device. Delivery retries are bounded by the command’s attempt limit (3 by default) and its original expiry time. A command can expire before all attempts are made.

If the codec service is temporarily unavailable before a command is encoded, the command waits without using a device-delivery attempt. This wait does not extend its expiry time. The history records the reason; a waiting command is not confirmation that the device received it. An unsupported command is refused rather than retried.

If a truck is stolen

When your truck is stolen, or driven without your say:

  1. Locate on the vehicle's page asks the device for its position now; follow it on Live map.
  2. Immobilise the engine in Soft mode, with the reason, and have a second person approve it. A soft cut is sent only once the truck is at or below the speed (5 km/h by default), so it does not stop the engine at speed on the road.
    • Hard cuts the engine at any speed, even while the truck moves. Use it only when the vehicle is known to be stopped, or stopping it is safe.
  3. When the truck is recovered, Release it the same way.

Dispatchers ask; others approve. Viewers cannot send commands. A device's own answer reads left to right on an Arabic or Urdu page.
