End of service

Every GCC employer owes a driver an end-of-service gratuity when employment ends, set by the labour law of the country of employment. Payroll → End of service keeps each driver's terms, shows the accrued gratuity, and makes the final settlement.

A year of service is counted as 365 days. Each amount cites its article. Check a contested case with counsel.

Terms

A driver → Terms:

  • country of employment (the six GCC countries; the currency follows: SAR, AED, QAR, KWD, BHD, OMR);
  • first day of service;
  • the monthly wage the law bases it on: in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait the full wage with its fixed allowances, elsewhere the basic wage;
  • unpaid leave days;
  • a national of ….

In Saudi Arabia the terms also take the basic wage overtime is paid on, and whether the driver is entitled to the reduced Ramadan hours.

The provision

End of service lists each driver with country, start, wage, years of service, accrued gratuity and status, and the total accrued per currency. Export the provision (CSV): one row per driver with the law applied, for the accounts.

Quote and settle

  1. A driver → End of service → the last day and the reason (resignation, ended by the employer…). The breakdown shows each period, the rate and the share due for the reason.
  2. Close without settling, or settle: the settlement is frozen and hashed.
  3. End-of-service settlements: each is verified while its hash matches the terms it was made from → Mark paid → the payment reference (for example a WPS reference).

A second settlement for the same employment is refused.
